Slow Summer

Hello, hello!

Update:

Apologies for such a slow summer! I have been house hunting, writing book 2, working on the trailer for book 1, tutoring teenagers, and most recently, dealing with a crazy health issue! No worries though! I'm on the mend and should be back in action! As you may have noticed, I've now got a "Review My Book" section on my site! I'm looking for honest book reviews for, "Once upon

a Time from the Perspective of an Innocent Bystander".

All the details and requirements for that are listed on the page, but if you're interested and have any other questions, please feel free to email me under the "Contact" page.

I had to make a few revisions of my trailer and decided to go full 2D, hand drawn, as opposed to the partial 3D trailer I had planned. Render times were crazy for the effects I wanted and because of that, I had to rethink the entire concept. Then...I realized I hate that concept and reworked it again after being almost finished with it. It was hard to start over, but I watched a video on YouTube titled, "Fail Faster" or something and it inspired me to go ahead and do just that.

I'm making posts of the progress online on my Instagram, Twitter, and DeviantArt pages, so check those out on the Contact page too!

Coming up:

I'll be reaching out to artists about fanart of my book and its characters. I'll also be opening up to public fanart later, but I need to write out the terms and conditions first. They won't be too strict, so don't worry! I just want to make sure my characters are depicted in an unsavory way.

Along with that, I'll eventually hold an art contest when the second book is closer to its release date that'll result in 3 prize winners. More details will follow later.

As I said earlier the book trailer is coming along (albeit, slower than I want). I'm also planning on putting up a Patreon account, but I need to do a little more research beforehand. In the next few weeks, I'll be starting up a Tumblr page and I'll be starting on some new designs and editing some previous ones a bit in the 3D printed stuff. Shapeways has edited their materials and guidelines and I think it's time I go in and refresh some things.

I'll also be offering more custom options on my Etsy site, so keep an eye out for that.

Lastly, I'm working on a few video editing projects that I hope will see the light of day soon. I'm also going to get back to coding my app once the book trailer is done. I'm about 70% finished writing book 2 in the Curiously Chimerical Chronicles series and I'm really excited to share that with the rest of you! The pacing is faster from the get go, since we're starting from the cliffhanger ending in the first book.

Thanks for reading and keeping up with everything guys! I really appreciate you all! As always, questions, comments, and other stuff can be submitted through the "Contact" page!
